Project Description

My project proposal at Sculpture Space was to explore my ongoing series of work that refer to human heat residues as seen through a digital thermal imaging camera which are then reproduced in cast epoxy resin. I am interested in the transformation of two-dimensional digital information into tangible, resin forms that mimic the heat gradation pattern. At the residency I worked on a cast-epoxy topographical model that represents a person’s heat pattern on a chaise lounge. There will be an electrical component inside the chair which will light the model from below.
