Project Description
I plan to build several machines that will perform an independent action for a duration of time dependent on it’s energy source and the surrounding circumstances. A new departure in this series will be the exploration of remote control devices and different sensors that with interaction from the viewer will dictate the movement of these machines. My work researches the evolution of machines with special interest in their growing autonomy from human beings. My previous sculptures were inspired by the design and manufacture of modern machines and that of 18th and 19th century automata.
